Conte appeals ban, seeks full acquittal

Juventus head coach Antonio Conte will find out on Tuesday whether his appeal against a 10-month suspension has been successful.

Conte appeared at a Rome court on Monday to appeal a ban for alleged involvement in match-fixing while he was managing Siena.

The Italian has been charged for failing to report two instances of attempted match fixing during Siena s 2010/11 Serie B campaign.

Conte s original plea bargain of a three-month suspension and a 200,000 euro fine was dismissed by the Italian Football Federation at the beginning of the month.

His legal team are now seeking a full acquittal as they bid to clear the 43-year-old s name.

Bundesliga high-flyers RB Leipzig seem to be ready to cash in on talented defender Dayot Upamecano at the end of the season, according to SFR Sport 1.

The 19-year-old centre-back has largely impressed since joining from feeder club Salzburg in January 2017, making a total of 36 Bundesliga outings.
