AC Milan star Gianluigi Donnarumma received a special birthday message from countryman and Juventus great Gianluigi Buffon.

Saturday marks the 18th birthday of sensation Donnarumma, who has continued to produce performances beyond his tender years.

Since making his debut for Milan aged 16 in October 2015, Donnarumma has become the Serie A club s undisputed number one and he is now seen as the heir to Buffon s throne at Juventus and Italy.

Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe has been ruled out of action until December after undergoing an operation on his groin.

The 22-year-old played in 33 of Arsenal s 38 Premier League games last season – only three outfield players featured more regularly – but he has struggled for minutes this term.

Smith Rowe has not started any of league leaders Arsenal s opening seven matches in the competition and has totalled just 48 minutes on the pitch.

Leeds United have confirmed the signing of Manchester City winger Jack Harrison on loan for a third successive season.

Harrison has spent the past two campaigns at Leeds, becoming a first-team regular under Marcelo Bielsa.
