Ribery out of Bayern´s Bremen test

French international midfielder Franck Ribery will not be fit to play in Bayern Munich s encounter with Werder Bremen on Saturday owing to a thigh strain just as he had got over ankle ligament trouble, his club said Friday.

Bayern confirmed what the player had earlier told French sports daily L Equipe following a training session.

I felt renewed pain behind my right thigh. It s a strain so I shall have to miss this weekend s match against Werder, said Ribery.

Bayern coach Jurgen Klinsmann said it was not a major problem but he did not want to risk the player.

It s a normal muscle strain as he trained hard this week there s always a slight risk, said Klinsmann.

Chelsea

Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world and are a global brand. The Blues have won the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League in recent years, but last season, they had a really torrid time. Wales boss Giggs wants Ramsey future resolved

Wales boss Ryan Giggs wants Aaron Ramsey to decide his future as soon as possible, amid protracted talks over a new Arsenal contract.

The 27-year-old s deal expires at the end of next season but discussions over an extension have seemingly stalled.

There are reports Ramsey is keen for a pay rise that would put him in the same bracket as Arsenal s highest earners, including Mesut Ozil and January signings Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Giggs spent his entire career at Manchester United and suggested Ramsey would be better off committing his future to the Gunners, where he has spent 10 years.

I hope Aaron sorts it out sooner rather than later, Giggs said, as quoted by The Daily Mail. Any player having talks with contracts you want it sor…

Kolasinac challenges Arsenal to win Europa League in unbeaten finish

Sead Kolasinac has challenged Arsenal to finish the season with an unbeaten run that will include lifting the Europa League trophy.

The Gunners made it four defeats in a row in all competitions for the first time since 2002 when they lost 2-1 to Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday.

With the gap to the Premier League s top four now at 13 points with nine matches left, winning the Europa League represents Arsenal s best hope of a return to the Champions League next season.

And Kolasinac says they should try to go without defeat for the rest of 2017-18, starting with Thursday s trip to AC Milan in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 tie.

It is a difficult situation for us, he told DAZN.  We did not play well in the two games against Manchester City…

Manchester United and Barcelona are thought to be keen on the Portuguese international, who further established his reputation with some scintillating displays at the European Championship.

The player now explains that it’s up to Porto chiefs to decide whether he can leave the club or not.

“Future? This is something we have to ask FC Porto. I know nothing and was focused on the game,” Moutinho said to Radio e Televisao de Portugal following the 1-0 victory over Academica in Portuguese Su…

Conte appeals ban, seeks full acquittal

Juventus head coach Antonio Conte will find out on Tuesday whether his appeal against a 10-month suspension has been successful.

Conte appeared at a Rome court on Monday to appeal a ban for alleged involvement in match-fixing while he was managing Siena.

The Italian has been charged for failing to report two instances of attempted match fixing during Siena s 2010/11 Serie B campaign.

Conte s original plea bargain of a three-month suspension and a 200,000 euro fine was dismissed by the Italian Football Federation at the beginning of the month.

His legal team are now seeking a full acquittal as they bid to clear the 43-year-old s name.

It has left a sour taste at Conte s current club Juventus, following a memorable season in which he led them to a …

The Pros and Cons of the Draw No Bet Accumulator

Few markets in the world of football betting are as polarising as the Draw No Bet. Some punters find the added safety extremely helpful, while others see little point in protecting yourself by shortening odds. In this post, though, we’ll be dealing with a very specific use – Draw No Bet accumulators.

Draw No Bet is a fairly simple betting market in which the bet is voided if the match ends in a draw. A void bet means that the full stake is returned to the player. This, of course, comes at a price of lowering returns.

Why Use the Draw No Bet Market?

First of all, let s consider the numbers behind this market. As a baseline, a simple Result bet has three possible outcomes – Home Win, Draw, or Away Win. That means that each one has a roughly 33% proba…

Messi surpasses Pele´s record with 644th Barcelona goal

Lionel Messi has set a new one-club goals record after netting for the 644th time as a Barcelona player, surpassing Pele s haul.

Messi matched the total of 643 goals that Brazil legend Pele – one of the greatest players to grace the game – racked up in an 18-year career at Santos.

The six-time Ballon d Or winner headed in his record-equalling goal against Valencia on Saturday and surpassed Pele s tally on Tuesday.

Having created the opener with a cross for Clement Lenglet and played a crucial role in Barca s second against Real Valladolid, Messi swept home after latching onto Pedri s clever flick in the 65th minute to make it 3-0.

As well as taking him past Pele, it was also Messi s 451st goal in LaLiga.

His effort against Valencia made t…

The Bundesliga side believe they can secure a very good deal if they decide to sell the Frenchman, and will, therefore, listen to offers for his services.
